How much does flooring installation cost in Mississauga?

Most floors cost $4 to $20 per square foot installed, before HST. Laminate runs $4 to $8, vinyl plank $4 to $9, carpet with underpad $4 to $10, engineered hardwood $8 to $17, solid hardwood $8 to $20 and tile $7 to $20. For a 500 sq ft space that is roughly $2,000 to $10,000. Removal of the old floor, levelling, stairs and new trim are priced as separate lines. How much does carpet installation cost?

How long does flooring installation take?

Most single rooms are done in one day. A full level or a condo unit usually takes a few days. Tile and glue-down floors take longer because the thinset, grout or adhesive needs time to cure. You get the start date and job length in writing before we begin.

Do you remove and dispose of the old floor?

Yes. We take up carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl and tile, pull the staples and tack strip, haul everything away and leave a clean subfloor. Removal is a separate line on your quote. More on floor removal and disposal.

Do you supply the flooring, or can I buy my own?

Both. We supply and install, or we install flooring you have already bought. If you are buying your own, tell us the product before you order so we can confirm it suits the room and the quantity is right.

Can you install flooring in a condo?

Yes. We work to your building’s rules on underlay sound ratings, work hours and service elevator bookings, and we can supply the product details the board asks for. Check your condo’s renovation rules before you choose a floor. Read more about condo flooring installation in Mississauga.

What is the best flooring for a basement?

Waterproof luxury vinyl plank is the most popular choice because it handles humidity and sits well over concrete. Porcelain or ceramic tile suits basement bathrooms and laundry areas, and low-pile carpet or carpet tile is warmer for a rec room. We usually keep standard laminate out of below-grade basements. Do you repair floors as well as install them?
