Floor removal in Mississauga is often the first step before a new floor goes down, and it is a job on its own. We lift old carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile, then haul the material away and leave a clean subfloor. You can book removal on its own or bundle it with a new install.
We come to you, measure, and price it before you commit.

What we remove
Different floors come up in different ways, and each one has its own mess and fasteners. We handle the full range found in Mississauga homes.
Carpet and underpad. We cut and roll the carpet, lift the underpad, and pull the tack strip and staples from the perimeter.
Hardwood. Nailed and stapled solid boards are pried up and the fasteners cleared from the subfloor.
Laminate. Floating laminate and its foam underlay come up in sections.
Vinyl and glued-down vinyl. Sheet vinyl, planks, and older glued-down vinyl are removed, including the adhesive residue where it needs to come off.
Tile and thinset. Ceramic and porcelain tile is broken out and the thinset scraped and ground back so the surface is ready.
Staples and tack strip. The small fasteners that get left behind are pulled, because they telegraph through the next floor.
If you are not sure what is under your current floor, we will find out during the measure and quote the removal accordingly.
Haul-away and disposal
You do not need a bin in the driveway or a truck of your own. We bag and carry out the old material, load it, and haul it away for disposal. Tile and thinset are heavy and awkward, and carpet fills a truck fast, so removing it yourself is more work than most homeowners expect. We fold this into the quote so the price is clear before we start.
Dust control and protecting the home
Tile and thinset removal in particular throws dust, and no one wants it through the whole house. We take steps to keep the mess contained – covering and sealing off work areas, protecting the paths in and out, and cleaning up as we go. Furniture moving is available, so you are not clearing heavy pieces on your own before we arrive.
A clean subfloor, ready for the next floor
Removal is not finished when the old floor is gone. The subfloor has to be clean and clear for whatever comes next. We pull every staple and tack strip, scrape adhesive and thinset, and sweep the surface down. From there, if the subfloor needs work, our subfloor repair and floor levelling service handles dips, squeaks, and moisture before the new floor is installed. A flat, clean base is what lets the next floor sit right and stay quiet.
Removal-only, or bundled with a new install
Two ways to work with us:
Removal-only. You just need the old floor gone – for a renovation, a sale, or a floor you are installing yourself. We lift it, clean the subfloor, and haul it away.
Bundled with a new floor. We remove the old floor and install the new one on the same project, so the prep and the finish come from one crew. If you are planning carpet installation or vinyl plank installation, removal of the existing floor is a natural part of that quote.
Either way you get a written price before we begin.
Areas we serve in Mississauga
We remove and dispose of old flooring across Mississauga, including Port Credit, Streetsville, Meadowvale, Erin Mills, Cooksville, Churchill Meadows, Clarkson, Malton, Hurontario, and the City Centre and Square One area. If your neighbourhood is not listed, mention it when you request an estimate and we will confirm.
We haul away and responsibly dispose of your old flooring in line with Region of Peel waste guidelines.
Frequently asked questions
Do you take the old flooring away?
Yes. Old flooring removal and disposal is included in the quote. We bag or roll the material, load it, and haul it off site, so you do not need a bin or a truck.
Can you remove tile without wrecking the subfloor?
We break out the tile and scrape and grind back the thinset so the subfloor is usable. On some floors the underlayment comes up with the tile by design; if so, we will explain that and factor a fresh base into the plan.
Do I have to buy removal and new flooring together?
No. We do removal-only jobs, and we do removal bundled with a new install. Tell us which you need and we will quote it that way.
Will there be a lot of dust and mess?
Tile removal is the dustiest job, so we seal off the area, protect the walk paths, and clean as we go. Carpet and laminate are far cleaner to lift.
